The Global Photographic Union (GPU), true to its vision of promoting unity and cultural exchange through the art of photography, extends its mission beyond the artistic realm.
Each year, GPU embraces its social responsibility by supporting charitable foundations and institutions worldwide, offering not only images but also hope, dignity, and human connection.
This year’s donation was a particularly heartfelt one: 152 photographic works were gifted to the foundation led by Father Bojte Csaba in Romania – a beacon of compassion and education in the heart of Transylvania.
Father Csaba’s humanitarian work, which has positively impacted thousands of children and families, has earned international admiration, including a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014.
Over the past 33 years of continuous operation, the community founded by Father Csaba has established 49 homes for children across Transylvania. More than 6,000 children have found shelter, care, and love in these homes throughout the years. Today, the foundation continues its mission by hosting and supporting 650 children, offering them not only a safe environment but also the tools for a hopeful future.
The GPU is deeply honored to contribute to this noble cause, using the universal language of photography to bring inspiration, warmth, and support to those who need it most.
As a global photography organization, GPU believes that art has the power to bring about change—but true impact also comes from action.
Our yearly efforts are a core expression of our values, reminding us that photographic creativity draws strength from humanity and must ultimately return to serve it.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our members for their ongoing support and participation.
Together, we continue building bridges—not only between cultures, but between hearts.
